What happened in the presidential debate between Trump and Biden?

While many Americans have had concerns about President Joe Biden's age and health for some time, the debate with former President Donald Trump has fueled rather than allayed those concerns.

President Biden entered the presidential debate on the evening of June 27 with a clear and simple goal, but he failed to achieve any of his goals. Throughout the discussion, he appeared hesitant and slurred.

During the debate, Biden's team told reporters that the president was suffering from a cold that made his voice hoarse and slurred. Maybe so, but it seemed like an excuse.

During the nearly 90-minute debate, it seemed as if Joe Biden was losing control of his words. Some of the answers given by him were very absurd.

During the debate, he ended his response to a question by saying, "We finally beat Medicare." Notably, Medicare is the US government's health care program for the elderly.

Kate Bedingfield, Joe Biden's former communications director, was on CNN shortly after the debate. He bluntly admitted that there was no doubt that the debate had not been positive for Biden in any way.

According to him, the biggest challenge for Joe Biden was to prove that he not only has the energy but also the health to serve as president, but Biden failed to do so.

As the debate progressed, like a defeated boxer trying to turn his loss into a win, Joe Biden tried to change the pace of the game and try to land a quick jab at his opponent. Some of these blows hit their target, which may have angered the former president.

"I don't understand what he said at the end of that sentence, and I don't think he knows," Trump quipped after another of Biden's responses.

On the other hand, during the debate, former President Trump managed to perform in a largely disciplined manner and avoided getting into any topic that could derail the debate, as happened to him in 2020. It happened during the discussions.

Trump managed to pretty much keep the conversation focused on President Biden's record.
