Three sons of Ismail Haniyeh, the main leader of Hamas, have been killed in an Israeli attack.
According
to the Reuters news agency, according to Hamas-affiliated media and Ismail
Haniyeh's family, Haniyeh's three sons were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Ismail
Haniyeh confirmed the death of his sons in an interview with Al Jazeera, saying
that Israel was acting out of revenge and murder.
Hamas
says Haniya's three sons, Hazm, Amir and Muhammad, were killed in a car bombing
in Gaza's al-Shati camp. Hamas media reported that two of Haniya's
grandchildren were also killed in the attack while one was injured
and we will not give any discount on them. If
the enemy thinks that targeting my sons at the height of negotiations and
before the movement has sent a response will force Hamas to change its
position, they are mistaken.
Ismail
Hania lives in the Gulf state of Qatar. Ismail Hania said that the blood of my
sons is not dearer than the blood of our people.
"The
enemy has a fallacy that by targeting the families of the leaders, they can
force them to back down from their demands, but this will not happen."
Ismail
Haniyeh's eldest son confirmed in a Facebook post that three of his brothers
had been killed. Abdul Salam Haniya wrote that "Thanks be to Allah who
blessed us with the martyrdom of my brothers, Hazm, Amir and Muhammad and their
children."
